All sales made by The Chefs Tableware Company Ltd. are made on these Terms and Conditions of sale. No variation on them, or any terms with an order form or other documentation supplied, will be binding unless confirmed in writing by a Director of the Chefs Tableware Company Ltd.
All goods and carriage are subject to VAT. Prices may be subject to change during the year. All goods are subject to availability and the design or specification may vary from that shown. Please note that you are responsible for deciding on the suitability of goods offered for any particular purpose and for the consequences arising from any work we undertake on goods at your request.
Goods held in our warehouse are usually delivered within 3-5 working days. Please note that bulky, fragile or personalized items may take longer.
A ‘next day service’ can be offered, however this will be subject to a higher delivery charge. Please enquire for more details. Goods dispatched on a Friday on a next day service will be delivered on Monday (excepting Bank Holidays).
Weekend deliveries are also available, if requested, at extra cost.
The Chefs Tableware Company are not responsible for any loss due to failure of the courier company to deliver on time.
Postage charge refunds are at the discretion of the company, subject to the reasons for late delivery. Please note that during exceptionally busy periods our next day delivery service may not be available.
Every effort is made to ensure that goods are delivered on time, although delivery times are given without obligation or guarantee due to the reliance on a third party carrier and stock availability.
For very small/lightweight orders, please contact us for advice on carriage charges.
For bulky, fragile or heavy orders, and for deliveries off shore and remote areas including Northern Ireland, Scottish Highlands, and Islands that are outside the UK mainland, there may be an additional delivery charge which can be confirmed at the time of order. Please allow 5-10 working days for delivery to remote areas.
Damaged Goods/Short Shipments/Returns
Details of any shortages or damage to deliveries must be noted at the time of delivery and we must be advised in writing within 24 hours, accompanied by photographs of all breakages. Any claims for non-delivery of items must be confirmed to us in writing within one week of the invoice date.
All goods are made to a high quality specification. If you are not satisfied with the goods received we offer a money back guarantee when goods are returned to us unused, in perfect condition and in their original packaging, within 28 days of delivery.
Return Postage is at the cost of the sender.
Goods are not supplied on a sale or return basis.
The Chefs Tableware Company reserves the right to impose an administration charge on all returns. Due to the high cost of carriage and handling, a restocking fee may be incurred.
Once The Chefs Tableware Company has acknowledged the buyer’s order, the buyer may only cancel the order if The Chefs Tableware Company agrees to accept such cancellation. In such an event The Chefs Tableware Company reserves the right to charge a cancellation fee in respect of its cost, which the buyer shall pay.
You will require a returns authorisation number to return any item. You must telephone our office (01246 411626) to be issued with an authorisation number before returning goods.
Unrequired goods for credit will only be accepted within 10 days of invoice and must be in perfect condition and in original packaging. A 25% restocking charge will apply. No goods are accepted for return after 30 days.
Full purchase detail i.e. our sales invoice number, must be included on all returns.
All goods returned are at sender’s expense and responsibility.
No special items (non-stock lines) will be accepted back for credit.
Where goods are returned in their original packaging, the packaging must be intact. The Chefs Tableware Company reserves the right to impose a charge for any damaged packaging.
Bespoke Products
Please note that items which have been altered to a customer specification or ordered specially cannot be cancelled once ordered.
A sample of the be-spoke item(s) will be provided and the specification and quantities to be produced will be agreed by all parties.
Once agreed, the production quantity will conform to the agreed specification and the full order quantity must be paid for and taken in one delivery unless otherwise agreed.
The Chefs Tableware Company Ltd cannot be responsible for any subsequent changes made by the customer after the product specification has been agreed.
Items can only be returned if faulty.
Any goods returned which are not in the condition set out above will be rejected and returned to you at your cost. Please note we reserve the right to charge a restocking fee for goods returned as per our returns policy.
This does not affect your statutory rights.
Samples
Any goods required for samples will be dispatched and charged accordingly. Sample goods not required must be returned within 28 days from receipt and all carriage and packing costs must be borne by the Customer.
General
All weights, measurements and specifications quoted are nominal and subject to manufacturing tolerances. Exact conformity to submitted samples cannot be guaranteed.
The Chefs Tableware Company Ltd accepts no liability of whatever nature arising as a result of any representations, breach of contract, late delivery of product, negligence or otherwise including but not limited to any liability for indirect or consequential loss, or loss of profits, revenue, business or goodwill except for liability for death or personal injury caused by The Chefs Tableware Company Ltd. negligence. All conditions, warranties, guarantees and representations, express or implied, by statute, common law or otherwise in relation to the goods (other than any liability which The Chefs Tableware Company Ltd. is not permitted by law to exclude or restrict) are hereby excluded.
We will hold your details on computer for the purpose of processing your order. From time to time we may send you details of The Chefs Tableware Company Ltd offers which could be of interest. Please tell us if you do not wish to receive further information. Refer to our full privacy policy for information on how information is obtained, stored and used.
